Stephanie S. Pengilley is Senior Counsel at Prestige Legal Solutions, P.C., where she focuses her practice on consumer warranty litigation. She brings years of trial experience, a deep understanding of the auto industry, and a strong track record of delivering favorable outcomes for her clients in high-stakes cases.
Earning her Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies with a minor in Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, she went on to receive her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she concentrated in international law and served as President of the International Law Society. During law school, she spearheaded the organization’s first-ever fundraiser benefiting the International Rescue Committee and has continued her dedication to global justice through pro bono work with the Immigration Justice Project.
Stephanie’s litigation experience is uniquely comprehensive. Having represented consumers, car dealerships, and manufacturers, she brings multiple perspectives to every case — allowing her to craft strategic approaches rooted in practical insight. She has successfully taken multiple consumer warranty cases to trial in both California state and federal courts, earning favorable verdicts and enhanced civil penalties against major manufacturers, including BMW of North America LLC, Kia America, Inc., Ford Motor Company, Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., and American Honda Motor Co., Inc.
Prior to joining Prestige Legal Solutions, Stephanie founded and operated her own successful lemon law firm. She has been practicing in this area since 2017 and is admitted to practice in all California state courts as well as the Central and Southern Districts of California.
In 2023, Ms. Pengilley was elected to the Board of Directors of the San Diego County Bar Association. She has also received honors from the Immigration Justice Project for her pro bono service, reflecting her longstanding commitment to advocacy both inside and outside the courtroom.
